Multiscale Wavelet-LQR Controller for Linear Time Varying Systems

SYSWIND researchers (Prof Biswajit Basu and Prof Satish Nagarajaiah) from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and Rice University, USA develop a new vibration controller which can be used for time-varying operating and environmental conditions in a wind turbine for improved efficiency.

Multimodal Vibration Control

Researchers from Aalborg University, Denmark and Trinity College Dublin, Ireland experimentally test a new multi-modal control algorithm jointly developed by them. The teams from the two Universities led by Prof Soren R.K. Nielsen (Aalborg) and Prof Biswajit Basu (Trinity College) are currently working under the SYSWIND project to develop the control algorithms for use in wind turbines.
